For these series, I have developed a technique of drawing

on canvas that involved a complex investigation of mate-

rials and techniques. The base is a pigmented gesso on

which I apply the color pencil in different layers to create

the appearance of skin. Seen in reality, they are very sen-

sorial, and present a material ambiguity because, at first

glance, it is difficult to figure out how they are made.

In this series, the gesture becomes more repetitive. It has

to do with an idea of ritual, as a repetition of a gesture, with

which I build a mental space. These drawings present an

interconnected sensorial world, where the pencil line em-

braces, like a skin, the beings and the links, but also the

violence that inhabits it.
